Striking improvements
The incorporation of asphaltite into the conventional asphalt mix produces important improvements in its properties. It causes a considerable increase in the viscosity of the modified binder at high temperatures, without affecting its properties at low temperatures. It diminishes the thermal susceptibility, in order to minimize the sensitivity to the deformations of permanent type. It allows a greater adherence of the stone aggregates.
Increase the stability of the mixtures:
Increase Marshall stability: of the order of 40%.
Increased water resistance of the mixtures.
Increase of the dynamic elastic modulus of the mixture, being more resistant to permanent deformations due to the action of slow loads.
